Love it. The platform bed is low but looks comfortable like it should. The scale of the ceilings might be freaky in person, but looks very airy and fresh in the picture. Definitely needs drapes. I would wake up in a rage and spend the day trying to kill the sun if my room were that bright. I don’t look great enough in the nude to justify that mirror either.

I am not sure why the two futons-mattresses together… but looks like the most awesome sex orgy pit ever designed. The view is incredible and I love the built in on the left for time-outs for bad kids. Just an incredible room for any reason.

This is sweet. Interesting that really it is the setting more than the bed. Pine doesn’t really make a good platform bed in my opinion but in this place it looks pretty incredible but maybe a little chilly. Maybe it is not pine though…but with that cool winter glow outside and the forest surrounding you could make the bed outta tar and it would still be great. Lose the rug.

Yes. They seem to be multiplying. Maybe the splinters lodge in peoples feet and implant the desire to go behind the local grocery store, abscond with some stolen pallets and create you own “unique” platform bed. I am all for up-using, re-purposing, down-creating. I just someone would use something besides a pallet.

A buncha old planks look pretty awesome as the headboard for your platform bed. It really looks pretty neat. 2 problems:

1. Splinters suck, especially if in your 625 thread count Egyptian cotton pillowcase.

2. Assumes you have a soul.
